La Grange by ZZ Top at The Greek Theatre

ZZ Top performs La Grange in concert at The Greek Theatre on 11/09/2007.

Rude Parker - Met !

Today I drive to Lowe’s to buy some Compact Fluorescent lights.

I watch a lady park fully 1/3 into the next parking spot, get out, lock her car, and set her alarm.

In a very polite tone, I said, “Excuse me, ma’am, but are you aware that you parked over the line?”

She turns and looks at her car, then turns back to the store and walks away. I follow her and say, again in a very pleasant tone, “I’m sorry to bother you, but while you’re parked over the line, no one can park next to you.”

She turns and uses a fairly upset voice, “I’m just going in to return this.”

Keeping my amicable tone, I let her know, “Ma’am, your car isn’t just close to the line, it’s over it, and no one…”

She cuts me off and starts yelling, “Look, drop it! Just drop it! What is wrong with you?! Stop this!”

Still being the soul of politeness, I ask if it’s OK if I take a picture of her car and post it on the Internet. She told me that if I really want to, and that if I have no life, and that if I have nothing better to do, then to go ahead and do that.

My point in posting this is that people who park over the line aren’t simply unconscious of what they are doing – they are rude to the core.

My good friend Tom says that my sample size is too small, but with a sample result like this, I don’t feel real motivated to increase the sample size.
